This design draws inspiration from the classic "Fanner Basket" style of Sweetgrass baskets, honoring one of the Lowcountry's most treasured basket weaving traditions.

Sweetgrass Baskets have played a huge role in the vibrant history and culture of the Lowcountry. Unique to the Gullah culture, the utilitarian function of basket sewing slowly evolved into the beautiful, cultural artform that it is today. The remarkable skill is passed down through families like a cherished recipe. Each one an heirloom, thoughtfully sewn using materials like sweetgrass and pine straw, their sweet aroma lasts for generations.
