As you walk down the hidden, narrow, and shaded lane known as Stoll’s Alley, you are transported back in time to the 1700’s when the alley was constructed. Named after a blacksmith Justinus Stoll, who built a residence on the alleyway, the area was previously inhabited by harbor pilots due to its proximity to the wharfs, and was originally called Pilot’s Alley. Today, 3 Stoll’s Alley is a private residence with a truly secret garden, complete with a winding brick path, and ivy-covered walls, that have centuries of secrets to keep.
