We are happy to offer our layaway policy to you. We require 30% minimum deposit, and this deposit is non-refundable. We offer layaway plans ranging from 3 - 6 months long. Payment is required by the 5th of each month, beginning the month after your initial deposit (starting 2nd month if initial deposit date is 7 days or less from the end of the month). For example, a purchase made on January 27th would not have the monthly payment due until March 5th. A late or missed payment may result in the forfeit of all money paid, plus the item being returned to the inventory for sale. Please contact us if you know that your payment will be late for any reason.
Orders shipped to PO Boxes must be placed using USPS ONLY! Other carriers will not deliver to PO Boxes. We will do our best to notify you if there is an issue, but it is the customer’s responsibility to choose the correct carrier.
All orders will be processed and shipped within 3 to 4 business days after the order has been placed. A confirmation email with tracking information will be sent to the provided email address once the order has shipped.

**LIMITATION Due to the way that discount codes work in our system, unfortunately any discount "code" that is applied at the time of checkout/cart will override the "Free Standard Shipping on Regular Orders Over $150" discount rule, however, your shipping price will be discounted as well as the item(s) in your cart. For example, if you use a 15% off discount code and spend $225, you will receive a 15% discount on the $225, as well as 15% off of the shipping method that you choose.**

All items purchased from Gold Creations are eligible for refunds within 14 days of the purchase date with the receipt or if your information was entered into our system at the time of sale. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep records of their original receipt if they choose not to be entered into our system. If your information is not in our system and you are not in possession of the original receipt, we cannot refund your purchase, but we can offer you an exchange or store credit as long as the item passes our inspection. All (eligible) items are eligible for exchange or store credit for up to 60 days after the purchase date. Exceptions apply for items purchased as gifts for the holidays. From November 1st to December 24th, items may be returned or exchanged until January 31st.
Any item(s) to be returned or exchanged must be in new, unworn condition, and are subject to inspection by Gold Creations upon receipt. If the new item you choose for the exchange is of lesser value than the original purchase, the difference will be added to a gift card which will serve as store credit. Store credit is valid indefinitely. If the item you choose for the exchange is of greater value than the original purchase, you will be responsible for the difference. Payment in full is required before the exchange is finalized.
All customized pieces of jewelry are nonrefundable and not eligible for exchanges unless the item is damaged, engraved improperly, or customized incorrectly. Customized jewelry includes any jewelry that is engraved, sized, or altered in any way that differentiates it from its original condition.
Customers may exchange eligible items that were purchased as gifts for store credit or another item of equal value. Gifts are eligible for exchange or store credit only, and are only eligible for up to 60 days after the initial date of the purchase. Gift receipts are not required to return or exchange gift items, however, if no gift receipt or proof of purchase is provided, the price of the item will be exchanged or applied to a gift card at the current price of the item. If the item is discontinued or does not pass Gold Creations’ inspection, the item may not be returned at all. If applicable, shipping costs will be subtracted from the price of the item. No cash, check, nor other form of payment will be given for items marked as gifts, or for items with no proof of purchase. Exceptions apply for items purchased as gifts for the holidays. From November 1st to December 24th, items may be returned or exchanged until January 31st.
To make a return or exchange in the store, bring the unused and unworn item to the store with your receipt and original packaging, if possible, and a sales associate will help you with your return. To make a return by mail, please fill out the “customer service form” below prior to shipping the piece to us. This will inform our team to expect your package. We ask all packages include a note with your name or other identifying information for us to pair your package with your form.

The item may be eligible for free shipping depending upon the item and its warranty. All of our jewelry is subject to our Jewelry Warranty Policy. Shipping for returns of defective and incorrectly customized jewelry will be free. Shipping will be the responsibility of the customer for all other returns or exchanges. Send all returns to Gold Creations, 74 S Market Street, Charleston, SC, 29401. Please include your name and contact information inside of the package.
You must use a trackable shipping method such as Priority Mail, FedEx, or UPS as we cannot guarantee receipt of your return without tracking information. Do not mail jewelry in regular paper envelopes, jewelry mailed this way rarely ever makes it to us during transport!
Gold Creations is not responsible for any returns lost by the shipping company. We are happy to email you a standard shipping label to print out, however, if the item is not eligible for free shipping this amount will be deducted from the total to be refunded. Please indicate shipping needs within the “customer service form.” Gold Creations will only refund shipping up to $14 for items that are eligible for free shipping. Provided shipping labels must be used within 30 days or the label will become invalid. Please contact our teams if this occurs.
Once the item(s) have been received by Gold Creations, we will review and inspect them. We will contact you by phone to verify and complete the return, and you may be required to read us your credit card number. It may take a few days for the refunded amount to show up in your account, and may take up to 30 days to show on your statement. If the original payment method was cash or check, the approved refund will be issued within five business days via check, which can either be mailed to you or picked up in store. Checks will be valid for 90 days after the date written on the check. Refunds for damaged or incorrectly customized items will include shipping and handling if applicable. All other refunds will have the original shipping deducted from the refunded amount.
Gold Creations prides itself with choosing the best quality jewelry and we stand behind all our pieces. However, manufacturing defects occur and accidents happen, therefore, Gold Creations offers a 1 year repair warranty for our products and additional warranties for select products. (We cannot / do not warranty any item that has been sized or otherwise altered by an outside jeweler) Our 1 year warranty includes:
After the 1 year mark, Gold Creations offers to assist with repairs on all items purchased from us for a fair fee. Contact our team to discuss steps or view “repair request instructions” for further information. Items can be returned to us and we will process the repair. If shipping back to us, shipping labels can be provided upon request.
Our Charleston Rice Beads have been our best sellers since the very beginning and carry a large piece of Charleston history. When you purchase a rice bead from Gold Creations, you truly Take Home a Piece of Charleston™ and our hope is for you to always carry a piece of Charleston with you. Gold Creations offers a lifetime repair warranty policy for our sterling silver rice beads purchased from Gold Creations. All repairs will be free of charge for these pieces. (*Excludes all SS stretchy and cuff bracelets)
Gold Creations offers a 1 year warranty policy for our gold filled rice beads purchased from Gold Creations. (*Excludes all GF stretchy and cuff bracelets) After the 1 year mark, Gold Creations offers to assist with repairs to GF Rice Beads for a fair fee. This price will vary case by case but will typically range from $10-$45.
Should our jeweler deem a Rice Bead product unrepairable, we will offer a 15% discount off of your next purchase of any of our Rice Bead products and the original piece will be returned to you. This allows us as a small family business to continue to offer quality products at a fair price, and allows you the opportunity to purchase a brand new replacement piece from your favorite collection, at a fair and discounted price.
Reasons a GF Rice Bead might be deemed unrepairable include:
Gold Creations offers a 1 year repair warranty policy for our 14k gold rice beads. As the price of gold continues to increase, free repairs for gold products become difficult for our small family business to sustain. These products are strongly backed up by our team and we trust the quality of our products, however, like many high quality items that get daily use, they may not last forever.
After the 1 year mark, Gold Creations offers to assist with repairs to 14k Rice Beads for a fair fee. This price will vary case by case but will typically range from $25-$65. Should our jeweler deem a Rice Bead product unrepairable, Gold Creations will offer a fair scrap value for the item, calculated using the day’s gold value, as credit towards your account plus a 15% discount off your next purchase of any of our Rice Bead products. This allows us as a small family business to continue to offer quality products at a fair price, and allows you the opportunity to purchase a brand new piece from your favorite collection, with additional savings.
Reasons a Rice Bead might be deemed unrepairable include:
All rice beads purchased before (“July 2025”) will still continue to include a lifetime repair warranty, unless deemed unrepairable. Gold Creations does not offer free replacement for unrepairable rice beads but rather a scrap value for the item, calculated using the day’s gold value, as credit towards your account plus a 15% discount off your next purchase of any of our Rice Bead products.
Fill out the “customer service form” (below) to inform our team of the repair request. Items can be dropped off at our store or shipped to us for repair. All repairs will be evaluated by our trained staff to determine repair instructions and communicated to the customer promptly. Gold Creations can provide a shipping label upon request for a small fee (*Gold Creations is not responsible for covering any shipping costs for repairs). If indicated on the form, shipping labels will be shared by email after payment is accepted. We ask that all packages be sent including your name or other identifying information with your package for us to pair your package with your form.
